It's OK for the Project to be a Project now (new ride) :-)

Well, I got a new ride that will make up for the project truck not being much of a truck due to down-time.

I got a 2005 Jeep Wrangler Sahara limited Edition Rubicon package. this thing came factory with 4.10 gears and air-lockers in the diffs. It is supposed to be the most capable production Jeep ever :-) I'm sure I'll manage to get it stuck at some point. I'll post some pics soon..back to the BBQ....

Not my first choice for a vehicle but Sweet just the same. Alot of guys in my neck of the woods have Rubicons and have great times in the mud with them. I am sure you'll have a blast Greg.
Post some pictures after you have it stuck, not in the driveway clean!! :-)

No V8s here. Just the 4.0l 6 banger. they don't put anything any bigger in the Wranglers. but withe an extremely low 4Lo gear and 4.10s in the diffs, it would run on a weed-eater engine.

thanks Russ. I knew I was in trouble when I first saw it on the showroom floor....That's all factory, no aftermarket godies there....Yet! It won't last long before it get's lifted slightly and a little more rubber. But, since it already has the 4.10 gears and lockes, it won't need much else in....

Nice! My son has a 95 Wrangler. He's done the suspension, lift kit, tires and rims the whole deal. It has well over 180k on it and still runs great. Lots of those miles on trails and muddin. G.

Nice. About the only way to get one stuck is to high center it for all 4 wheels. Put a $50 set of Swaybar disconnects on the front and you will double the climbing ability.

Just a warning though, Jeeps eat wallets.

Do you think it can even get close to what I've got invested in the old Ford? (BTW, the answer is no! unless I went with a big-block and dana 60 front/rear conversion on the Jeep) :-) I've got a fortune invested in this old truck.

the cool thing about the jeep. It's already got air lockers and 4.10 gears....So, it's ready for a little more tire if I decide to lift it...

Hopefully, I'll just drive it for a bit...

About the only thing I'd buy other than a Ford is a Jeep.

You make me insanely jealous
