why are the Forest preserves so poplar for a get-together/meeting place?
why not Hooters or some kind of restaurant?

MOST of the preserves are on the North side of the street. I haven't been there in quite a while. I'll try and check it out this weekend and pick out a place to meet.

Meeting location

Thanks Jigsaw!.......find a good loction and post the grove name on Irving Park Road and we'll meet there. Thanks again, Fastronald

Location note: With women as Chapter members, I believe we should avoid someplace like Hooters.

I agree a restrauant for a back up is fine, we have meet in restrauants for most of our meetings so far. We can enjoy the great outdoors.

An easy place to meet would be in the first grove south of Cumberland on the east side of Irving Park Rd (Rt 19). Take any of the 3 entrances into the forrest preserve and turn right go down near the end,. Can't miss it!

If any new members are interested, some of us will be up at the cruise nite at Stake 'N Shake in Tinley Park on RT.43(Harlem Ave.) on Friday night. The cruise nite usually lasts from about 7 PM to 10 PM. It would be nice to see some more Ford trucks there. I'm planning on driving my red 77 F100 flareside.

Cruise Night

Great Idea John! I'll try to stop in as I am able and say Hi.

I could leave work as early as 4:00 or as late as 8:00 on any given day to meet the needs of our customers.

This is still in keeping with our established Sunday meetings at 1:00.

I don't know if Carol and I will be able to make it to the meeting on Sunday, either. My sister who lives in southern IL is coming into town this weekend, and my mom is talking about having a cookout on Sunday.
