How does 5.4 compare to the 5.8 litre

I pulled my 7000 pound sailboat at 70 miles an hour with no problems, with a 351W and C6 trans. Even passed slower cars on two lane roads. I'm looking at a newer van with a 5.4 liter eng, to pull the sailboat to Florida. How does the 5.4 compare to the 351. I should add, the 351 was the HO, with a four barrel.

the 5.4 will last longer has more power and torque and is a good towing motor most 5.4's last well over 280,000 miles.

Thanks for the reply. I'm looking around for a used van with a 5.4.
