removing glove box '87 f150
Before I break something; need to get into the heater core;
does the glove box dash surround pry off like the stereo surround dash piece does or am I not seeing screw's holding the glove box in when the glove box is open?
Chilton manual was worthless for insight
thx

There is a little plastic strap that limits how far the glove box can open, which is held in by a little pin. Push the pin out to disconnect the strap, then there's a tab on one side (or both sides, I can't remember right off the top of my head) that you depress to allow the glovebox to swing down past the normal open position. Once it gets down far enough, the lower hinged part just lifts out. No screws, and it shouldn't take any prying to get out.
