freon leak...

Take it to a shop that can do a proper repair. If you don't know how to trace the leak, that tells me that you don't have A/C tools and experience. To test for a leak, it has to be evacuated, charged, a dye of some sort added (radioactive, maybe?), then the system is gone over with a Geiger-counter-like detector. Then they can evacuate it again, fix it, and properly re-charge it.

leak
i live in phx and if you cant get anyone to do it ill do a leak check for you i do ac for a living for about 15 years so i got all the tools and such most of the time its a scrader core or loose fitting at the oriface tube or o-rings at the compressor, but once and a while the condensor gets hit just right and it leaks. only takes a little bit to check. and dont put stop leak or any other crap in there that stuff just plugs up the system. if you open it up replace the oriface tube .they are only 3 dollars dave
