I have been trolling eBay for a console for my 1980 Bronco Custom. Can you guys heplwith some info?

1. I am assuming a console from years1980-1986 will fit? Any other years?

2. Can I paint the console to match my interior color? If so, what type of paint should I use?

Note:

My Bronc is strictly utility, hunting and fishing--not a show truck.

 

Not real sure but most years of Bronco sould fit. My 80 Breonco is a XLT and it has high back seats with the arm rest and the console is made out of plastic and can be painted, but use paint made for plastic. Have you tried Mac'c, NPD or LMC

 

If you get a dash outside of your year cluster you will have to spend time rearanging the wiring harnes since things changed drastically after that year in the location of all the dash components.
Dont forget the F series trucks had the same console style and any extra options would most likely be able to plug in since Ford usually only puts the one wiring harness in the vechicles.
