I was talking to a Electrician on my job site the other day and he just upgraded his Ranger to a 2000 F150 4x4 supercab 5.4. OK he totaled his Ranger but thats another story. I asked him about the gas mileage in the new truck compared to his Ranger. And he said and I Quote "My ranger got better gas mileage for the first 1/2 of the tank but the second 1/2 got bad mileage. I got about 200 miles to the 1/2 point but only a little over 100 till it runs out. The F150 is more consistent with decent mileage through out the tank."
After I got up of the floor from laughing I explained to him about the gas mileage.

I bet he owned a chevy before the ranger!

 

Imagine the MPG if he kept the tank full at all times!

That would be great to see him running around towing a gas trailer with the nozzel stuck in his filler.

 

Funny, my Ranger is the same way, the second half of the tank goes really fast...so I should upgrade to an F-150 to get more consistant mileage for the whole tankload? How do I get in touch with this guy? Sounds like someone I want to wire my house....! -TD
