Triggs - use the search feature for this forum for leveling kit, daystar, autospring, or protech. Lots of info.

You can also remove the blocks from under the rear springs to drop the rear by 2".

I just finished installing a Daystar leveling kit a few weeks ago on a neighbors 04 FX4, and it came out very nice. Easy install, and the look is a whole lot better now. Ride quality didnt change at all, and it can fit some good sized tires as well.

I found no change in ride or driving with the blocks removed. I would recommend buying the 2WD u-bolts as it makes the mod very clean and easy; you will need to use washers or other shims if you do not.

Whether you lower the rear or raise the front remember to adjust you headlights and fog lamps...

www.autospringcorp.com I installed the 2" kit myself on my FX4 screw. Front is now 1" lower than rear. You do NOT need a spring compressor to install this kit.
Kit costs around $120. You will need an alignment with all of these kits. Just my opinion, but I personally would never lower a 4x4.
