Aside from a stability system to help prevent rollovers, the '06 is a complete carryover from the '05. Nothing significant has been updated. There could be a couple very minor changes (i.e. a new color etc.) but from where I'm at in Trim, it looks identical in every way to the current model.

In a Super Duty it's listing 30:

This is the only build your ford site I know of, aside from the commercial truck one.

Can anyone tell me why it takes so long, or is this normal?

Give me the last 6 spots in your VIN number and I can look tomorrow morning at work to see if it's been built or if it's at least arrived at Lorain for final assembly. We've for the past month been running the highest mix possible for the passenger models. (Every 4th vehicle) Also the mix of 15 passengers is way up so it may be close.

I will start looking for your vehicle Monday morning. VIN ending in B42592. I'll post here in this thread it's status when I locate it.

SuperCrewDude,
Thanks for the offer. What a trip -- to have a mole at the factory!
I don't have the vin. When I called to get it, they said my van would be delivered this week, but they'd get back to me w/ the vin. I've heard that before, but maybe this time they're playing it straight. We'll see.
Can anyone tell me what a normal lead time for an E-350 is?

supercrewdude, i dont know if there is anything special you could do (lumbar seat, cd player), but considering that you are in the trim dept can you make sure it gets vinyl flooring instead of carpet. the dealer says they had problems deleting the carpet, but they were able to get the vinyl order in. hopefully, it will show vinyl or it wont be a big deal to make the change yourself without getting in trouble. thanks for everything.

Someday,
Your van was built today. It came through the trim department around 7 a.m. this morning.
The flooring is done on the final chassis line, we're still crawling in and out of them in trim so it has to wait till the interior is all in. I'm sorry, I was not able to see for myself if they put in carpet or vinyl. It was long gone by the time my break came.
What I can do is see if my supervisor can look up the paperwork that travels with each van to see what option it had for the flooring. I'm pretty sure I can find someone that knows the code, provided I can look up it's work order. Can't promise this, but I will try.

I wish I could upgrade for people, but I don't think management would be keeping me around long if I did.
I was actually installing the interiors today. I may have worked on yours, but there are 2 teams of 2 guys per team and it could have been the other one, my boss didn't run your VIN till lunch time. By then it was 4 hrs. past trim.
