Midwest meeting?
As the Chapter leader of the newly formed Illinois Chapter..............I have a question.
This would apply to the Indiana, Wisconsin and Iowa Chapters. Would there be any interest in ,at a future date, holding a "Midwest" meeting amoung the four states?
The Illinois Chapter is two weeks old at this point and eager to get our feet wet and get involved.
Just a thought.....Thanks, Ron

Hey, sorry I overlooked this, it was at a very bad time for me. We can look into doing it at least for our 2 states, I have enough people in the eastern half to make it worthwhile. We even have a few common members. If you or some of your members have a location in mind, that would be good, or I can see on my side too, I have 3-4 in the Burlington area alone. Add the additional 4 or so south from there, (including me) and that's not a shabby number right here, not to mention the others that may be able to travel and make it.

Midwest meeting
Well....how would the general Quad City area for a Midwest meeting? Maybe the White Pines State Park in Oregon Illinois?
Hey Rywegh..I have family in Yorkville! The Plainfield/Yorkville area maybe a good meeting location for the Illinois Chapter in 2005.
I had also hoped Indiana would have formed their chapter at this point. They have not yet established their chapter to take part.
Any thoughts everyone?

Trying to remember, they have a Civil war re-enactment sometime in the summer, can't remember quite when, have to look into it. But the funny thing about that is that the battle they reenact actually took place on the farm here where I live, 30 miles away, the battle of Pea Ridge. With that much lead time, though, it will be easier to get everything locked down. I can see if we can reserve the park, and have the whole thing there on our own too. We could also bring it a bit west to Kahoka, and use the fairgrounds there. That's 20 west of Keokuk on 136. We also have some mud pits up to Mt Sterling for those that want to play...

Interest will likely determine where and what we do. Definitely have to keep in touch on it so I can figure out what all we need and what everyone will want to do. Have to keep plugging away at it. Not sure the 4th (Independance day) weekend would be good, ttoo much else going on. Goodguys has a big car show in Des Moines every year, and I'm sure they aren't alone.
