Update on my '05

I now have:

stereo/CD installed.
hood bug deflector
window vent shades
Chrome OEM take-offs (I believe they are what was available on the STX)
windows tinted (legal front / limo tint on rears)
Flowmaster 40 series SI/DO exhaust with really nice tips (the guy did a great job)
drop-in bed liner

205 miles on it.

So far I am very pleased. It appears performance and MPG will be on-par with the 2000.

Only things left are step bars and maybe a MAC intake when I am outof warranty and if MAC makes one. Also swapping the bed tool kit over.

I'll post some pics whenever I get access to a decent difital camera.

Did you buy the wheels from the dealer? Can I ask how much? I would like a extra oem set for my 99 to put winter tires on.
Thanks Dan

Dan,
I got them from a local guy who buys OEM take-offs from a local conversion shop. Southern Comfort Conversions is a big truck and van conversion company just a few minutes from my house.
Anyways, the wheels and tires were new take-offs.
I paid $350 for tires and wheels.

You might check e-bay. Prior to '04 the rims were 5 lug - they should not be expensive or hard to find.
The '04 and '05 are 6 lug and a little more pricey (supply and demand.)

wow that sounds like a great deal for four tires and wheels. My allterain tires are noisy and cost me 2 mpg. I could recover the cost of a second set the first year.
