OLD carb Identification (PIX)
I have an old brass carb, but have no idea what it is from. Do you know?

It is about 6.5" long and has the following inscriptions cast into the brass:
"Johnson Company,
Detroit Mich."
"Patented APR. 22 1913"
"243" is cast into the brass next to the outlet.
"285" is cast into the brass on the side opposite of the butterfly valve.
Thanks for your (esoteric) help!

It's an updraft, probably from a boat motor, small engine, or a small garden tractor. It's possible it's from a 2 cyl car motor, or motorcycle as well. If I could see the top (where the butterlies are) it would help more... Just the side views don't show much. It may be from a wisconsin single cyl.. I had an OLD 3 hp one (6 inch stroke, no joke), that had a similar carb on it...
