well ive had my truck for about 3 months and one of the fog light bulbs blew.. not just burnt out blew into pieces. so i replaced the bulb and about 1 month later it did it again. just woundering if anyone else has had this happen to them going to call the dealer and have it checked out just thought maybe someone might have a easier fix thanks for any advice.

 

Don't touch the bulb (glass part) when you put it in. The oils from your skin can cause the heat to reflect back into the bulb and cause the shattering condition that you are describing.

 

Thanks for the tip i think i may have touched the bulb when i installed it. But i just think that its weird that it blew the first time.

I had a fog light go out in my FX4 already, I think the factory is lazy when it comes to these little details.
The same goes for any bulb really, it is better to wear a glove, or something when you absoutely have to touch the bulb. Even when I take the bulbs out of the package I use a piece of kleenex, so I don't touch the bulb.
