Talk about darkside, you're gonna start a trend there with those open seat springs and the spider web cracked glass.

The west coast boys will be doing that just to stay cool !

As you can see, I liked your artsy album

Six,

If we're voting...change it to an F-1 pickup.

I would have to agree with Vern, I converted mine from an F2 to an F1, mainly becuase I wanted a short box, F1 fenders were easier to find, and I thought the smaller wheel opening would look better (although that may not be such a big deal). I ended up swapping the frame, but you wouldn't have to. Flatbeds look OK, but an original F1 box sure looks great, especially if they have really straight sheet metal. For me, that means buying a complete new box, just couldn't find any that weren't hammered.

yea i wish the one of the 51 f1 was in better shape, i would of kept it then. but the rust was so bad that i was able to push the cab of the frame with out even having to unbolt or cut anything. im about to put in the 4 link rear, and when i do that i will be moving the wheel base in the 6 or 4 inches to make it the proper distance for an f1 bed

Cool, a 4-link would be sweet. I may attempt that later on down the road.

Can you use those F1 front fenders?

The hoods are different between F2 and F1s? I didn't know that.

I agree, the F1 box is the way to go. Good luck with the four link, that's the way I went too. I wish I had a second truck for parts!!

There are minor trim differences between 51 and 52 hoods, but F1, F2, and F3 hoods of those years are all interchangeable. In fact, I believe they may be interchangeable even up to F8 since the cabs are the same.
