95 Powerstroke transfer pump

My diesel started leaking fuel about 2 weeks ago. Upon inspection i found the fuel to be coming from in the valley, seemingly from under the transfer pump, but the rubber hoses and fitting at the back are not leaking. Anyone had a similar problem? I think it is the pump itself, as it does not seem to be running back from the fuel filter bowl. thanks for any input. Josh

Yeah I just had this happen , turned out to be the vacume sensor was leaking fuel . It could be a couple of things though , the fuel pump , regulator , leaky fuel filter ( not installed correctly ) or a cracked fuel filter housing .

remove the cowling that is over the fuel filter, first.it's on the cab side of the fuel filter housing. when you stand in front and look over the top of the fuel filter, it will be below the fuel hose that is between the fuel pump and the filter. there is a heat shield on the top of the those two hoses that can be pulled off, this will help you see it. it has one wire on it, that just slips on. start the engine and use a mirror to look at the sensor...it will drip onto the lower fuel hose, if it's the leak source.
