Gibson Exhaust?

Hey guys, got a question for ya'll. I am looking for anyone with gibson exhaust or anyone with any output on the gibson exhaust. I am in the market to get an exhaust and am interested in the gibson. My local truck performance shop sells alot of different products like borla, gibson, and other exhaust products and when asked which they would recommend for the 04 fx4, they recommended the gibson side swept. I was just wondering what your opinions are on this situation? Is gibson a good choice? I have read some of the past postings and see alot of borla and magnaflow and was just wondering.

I had one on my last truck and liked it... mello deep sound but not too loud.

The issue is you are talking about bolting a 3" mandrel bent system onto a 2 1/2" pipe. To my mind you still have a 2 1/2" system overall.

I'm thinking I'll save the money and get a 2 1/2" flow through muffler.

A friend of mine put that exhaust on his truck. Nice exhaust BUT!! Very Quiet. not much louder than stock. I put the Banks Monster Exhaust on my FX4, Looks Great, fits great and Sounds Very good.

Gibson is one of the quietest on the market. I ran one on an 01 F150, as well as a bronco, and liked them both. I will probably put an extreme dual on this truck in a few years when I can justify getting rid of the stock exhaust. I took a few video/sound clips of my bronco with the Gibson system. Private message me for the link if you would like to hear them.

I have the Gibson SS Swept Side exhaust. What I was looking for was a system that was very "family friendly". And that's exactly what the Gibson is. Inside the cab, there is only a very slight increase in sound. On the outside, while certainly not 'loud', it does have a nice V8 rumble to it. No drone at all

All in all, I am exceptionally happy with it. If you're looking for a mellow sound with increase power & MPG, then the Gibson is a good choice. If you're looking for loud & aggresive sound, then look elsewhere.

Can you quantify your power & MPG increases please?

We have the Gibson Super Truck system which is louder than the regular. Not real obnotious but just right.
