Hello all, newbie here

Hello to all the ford fellers out there from a Southern, TN Dodge Ram owner/Ford Mustang owner. I hope i can be welcomed here and not be the devil lol.

I have a question. If you could had the option would you rather have the Hemi with 5.7 ltr 345 hp and 371 ft/lbs or the 5.4 ltr 300hp engine ford has right now?

Any thoughts?

Hello! Wecome to FTE! :-) In my truck, an 04 f150, I got the 4.6L engine and am extreamly happy with the smoothness and proformance this engine gives out to me! I have my doubts about if I were to ever get a Hemi Engine like you have, mostly because of the relibility. I trust my Triton engine more then any other brand engine out there (but thats me) Why don't you just trade your dodge in for an f150! You won't be sorry! Obviously you must think something about Fords since your in our sight! :-P

Hang in there...next year Ford's going to have the Hurricane hemi eater in the F150's. 6.2 liter 400hp engine. It's going to be repeat of history from the 60's and 70's when Dodge/Plymouth thought the 426 Hemi was it. Ford came out with the 427 DOC Talledega engine and had the Mopars watching their tail lights on the tracks.

I'd settle for a 5 speed tranny...

A real one...not that BS Dodge tries to pull off...

I am happy w/my dodge

my father has a 04 f150 5.4 RC 4x4. and its really nice, but after we broke out trucks in, we put both of them to the test pulling about 4k pounds each. We have a farm about 200 miles from current house, anyways I had the old ford tractor in a tandem axle trailer, and pops was carrying 3 400cc 4x4 fourwheelers on his trailer and we lined up next to each other and gunned it. We were neck in neck for first few secs, but I hit third gear and shot off by him like he was standing still. we talked on the CB radio and he laughed and said damn wish i could keep my ford but put in that hemi.

Also, Dodge is coming out next year for the power wagon a 6.1 liter hemi producing 427hp and i am not quite sure on the ft/lbs. Got love that 7/70 powertrain warranty on it that comes standard. If ford ever increased their warranty and they do get that 6.2 liter 400 hp engine, i will switch back to a ford.

LOL, I have "Ford performance" mats in my dodge. Did test out the new mustangs the other day. I had mixed opinions about them.

A coe-worker bought a new Dodge with the hemi. He bragged up how much better it was compared to my F-150. I told him I didn't need to over-compensate in my truck because I wasn't lacking in my manhood. The subject never came up again.
