detroit locker and towing

this exact question is asked every three weeks, i think your getting no response cause people just get tired of the same question.... nothing thats your fault at all.... try the search to find all your answers, but you are correct lockers and loads of weight placed on the rear axle from loads or trailers, are not a good combo, unloaded the tires will just chirp..loaded, the tires get all the traction they can handle and your driveterrain just gives somewhere... well i guess this is an opinion im giving you, but you can find many documented cases on the internet.... some people on here run full time lockers and tow and do not seem to have a problem... i really wanted one but just got the Auburn LS instead.. its no locker but it works very well, i make a trip accross the US once or twice a year and cant afford to risk my axle snapping under the load of the bed weight and travel trailer in the middle of death valley.. leaving my truck, trailer, toys and family stuck... i did put a locker up front, there is nothing i havent gotten through yet..

Its a cornering issue. On tight corners applying power the inside tire is gonna spin..I have had 5-6 tousand pounds of sand in the back of my truck for two weeks now and its been great. I think it disengages better than most people think. Iv'e never heard of a SD breaking a rear axle or anything with a detroit.
