You definately don't see a whole lot of the Japanese cars from the early 80's, I still see alot of Datsun B210 and Toyota Corolla's from that era, you don't see too many first generation Toyota Cressida's either, another rare car you see is the Mustang II and Mercury Capri.

Well, call me silly, and I know some folks are fans of some of these cars....but the years 1970 to 1985 are the worst years for the auto industry. Poor efforts at emissions, the bumper fiasco, vinyl tops and wire wheel covers, 460's that made, gasp, just barely 200hp! With a few exceptions from 70 to 73, they pretty much all belong in the crusher. Grenadas? Monza's? Pontiac versions of the Vega? Bobcats? Mustang II?
And the imports: mini versions of American cars. Front engine rear wheel drive with room for people without legs in the back. 1200 cc engines? 1500cc?
I know some people really dig that '70s stuff, and a lot of folks are real proud of their plastic '79 Mustang because here it was, a real car again, but please, can we just like most of these up and recycle them?
Trucks, for the most part, excluded as even though there was some strange stuff going on with trucks, they still were trucks and for the most part could be used as such. Even the self disposal units like the Courier that rusted into a pile.....

I've forgotten all about Pontiac's version of the Chevrolet Vega, here's another car you rarely see on the road, Oldsmobile Starfire, Buick Skyhawk and Pontiac Sunbird (the RWD versions), for the past 2 years I've only seen 1 each of the Starfire's and Skyhawk's of the late 70's, I think that 1971 was the last great year for the automotive industry cause you could still get factory cars with over 300hp from the huge engines.
