Clutch problems

My 94 Ranger quite suddenly does not like to go into gear without a fight. I noticed the fluid reservoir is very low but not dry. When I get it into first gear I have to proceed very gently as the sound is not good. Does it sound like a fluid problem or time for a new clutch? Many thanks!

well my guess would be that if it leaking fluid, perhaps the throw out bearing isnt operating right...or maybe the master cylinder is messed up
