I would rather pay the 100 and save the time and frustration. I am to mechanics, as Corky Thatcher is to rocket science. I am not sure what tips to get...I don't want something that sounds too loud...but I want it to look nice. Any suggestions??
I put similar tips on mine except the ends are rolled and they are stainless. I would go with stainless so you will not have to worry about rust, the chrome ones will rust in about 2 years if not before. I bought mine at a local exhaust shop charged me 50.00 for both and welded them in for me. I would never pay 100.00 to install this, it only took me about 45 minutes to install and that would be very expensive labor.
45 minutes to install an entire cat-back system?? Do you have a lift or work at a shop or something? I would pay 100, as it would take me all day...and would rather watch football on the weekend. JMO

No I did this in my driveway..... Like I said it was very easy to installl, but I guess maybe for some people it would not be as easy. To think 100.00 for a hour of labor now thats making money. I will be more than happy to install any of ya guys for 100.00 if ya want to drive to SC.... I will also state yet again beware of the chrome tips lots of moisture at the end of tailpipe and they will rust out. Spend the extra few bucks and get stainless so no worries.....
I just went to Jegs website and looked at their catback system. It's a dual exit catback, and is on 150!! That is so inexpensive....I was going to go with a borla..but for 525...no thanks.
It is obviously going to be MUCH cheaper. The Jegs unit is aluminized steel, whereas a Borla is stainless steel. It will deteriorate much faster if you live in an area with snow and crummy winter weather. The road chemicals will eat it alive.

here in Alabama i don't have 2 worry about the road chemicals. and I could buy 3 of the jegs systems and still not have spent as much money!!
Aluminized piping will hold up fine in bad weather conditions and chemicals. I have never had any trouble with aluminized piping. For that matter you can get this complete catback with a set of nice tips of your choice for around 200.00 . Thats about 1/3 of the cost of Borla so you could if need be replace it three times for the price of one Borla setup. I still say its the best bang for the buck for the money. I will also state that it has a real nice sound not to loud but a noticeable rumble. I have had a jegs catback on my 97 Dodge Ram 1500 for two years now and is holding up fine.
Yea, I think the Jegs looks like the best bang for the buck. They don't use road chemicals where I live. I think the Borla is overpriced. Stock exausts aren't stainless steel are they? They seem to hold up just fine.
