Sport Truck Comparison

How well will the new lightning stand up to the SRT-10 in terms of performance? Is GM offering anything to compete in this arena?

We won't know till 2006 of 2007 when they build the new Lightning. SVT has axed it for a few years. There are a couple of threads about this I believe.

I'm fixing to build mine a 89 S-10 with a 406, maybe around 400hp with 2x4 high rise.

I think if GM ever decided to throw a beefed up 6.0 in the SS and top it off with a SC and and Intercooler (like the 5.4 in the L's) then it would be one HARD truck to beat.

That sounds like a damn good idea. Don't get me wrong, I bleed Ford blue but that sounds like one hell of a truck. I think the SS looks good except for the butt ugly front ends on the Chevys.
