i have a 1995 f-150...4.9L....with air density.....there has to be a ocnversion kit to go to MAF....i found one for my 90 302 but i can't find anything for this truck....can anyone help?
only two places i can think of I know ford racing makes one for the 5.0L or 5.8L with a AOD tranny. I had to go to pro-m mass air to get one for my 1992 ford f-150 website is pro-flow hope that helps ya out
Blcknite, how did the maf conversion work out for you? I am thinkning of doing that as well and am unsure if the expense is worth the money? Thanks for any help--Dinty01
I really liked the MAF conversion and thought it was defenitly worth it. It didn't increase my milage at all. my truck is to modified to help out on that but ford racing states that if u wants to put on any porformance mods u have to convert to mass air because speed-density can't handle it. the one problem i don't like with the MAF is that you can't use a K&N filter because it will clog the mass air meter. overall on my vehicle i think it was definatly worth the moey for the MAF conversion. hope that helps you out in your decision making.

MAF is way better IMHO over speed density. That's because maf allows the computer to read the actual incoming amount of air, whereas with speed density, airflow is programed into the computer according to the rpm's your turning.
