Question 5 ltr with aod into 67 f100

I am installing a 5ltr with aod into a 67f100. Can anybody tell me if I convert to carberator will the aod still work?
I have purchased a b&m truck Megashifter with aod kit.

Friend runs one with a carb'd 351 stroker. Once you get the linkage set up right, it should be fine.
The hard part is the throttle position/tranny cable. It has to be adjusted just right or it won't shift right.

AOD in 67 PU

I put an AOD in my 68 Mustang behind a 302. The trans will not work without the trottle position cable and will burn up quickly if it's not adjusted correctly. Lokar sells a cable and brackets to hook your carb up to the AOD like you need. You will have to adjust the lenght at idle while checking fluid pressure from one of the taps on the right side of the trans. Or you can get a transmission shop to hook up their gage to adjust the linkage. I have 4.11 gears in the old stang and the AOD is great.

By the way, I have a 67 pu that I plan to drop a EFI 5.0 and AOD into next year. Let me know what you are doing for motor and trans mounts. Thanks.

I would just use stock sb mounts for the conversion. The only thing you might have to move is the tranny crossmember. It's easy on these trucks since the frame is flat and you just slide it and re-drill the holes.

Do you have the donor vehicle still? Grab the computer and the harness and go EFI; you'll be glad you did. Oh, and rig up an electric fuel pump.
