truck questions

i was wonderin waht a 1948 to a 1956 F100 got on miles to tha gallon
if tha truck is stock.

My '48 is pretty much stock and gets 15-16 avg. I've hit close to 20 on trips.

On the freeway, I'd hit 20. Curvey 2 lane highways 18. Around town it's 16. Mines an all stock 239 with stock carb, wheel size, etc... as well.

I used to run in the highschool drags.... as stock truck, I'd reach 70 in the 1/4 mile (but mine is a Fordomatic, so did'nt have any gears to miss). On the freeway, it runs smooth and nice at 65.
