My wife traded in the Excursion for a '05 GT. Redfire Metallic, bright alloy wheels, Auto 5 speed, Shaker 1000 (subs in trunk). It is a sweet car to drive. It is not as strong as my '03 Mach 1, but it is close. New Mustang is a much nicer ride around town, quieter, more room inside, and turns everyones head. We have had people doing double takes and stopping to ask if they can see it. I think Ford has a big hit on their hands.

IMO the new Mustang is a sweet looking car. I have just moved back home Flat Rock, MI (SE Michigan) and that is the home of all the new Mustangs. I live about a mile down the road from the final assembly plant, and over the past two weeks I see a carhauler completely filled with them go down the road every 15 min or so. It is an odd site to see this on a daily basis, But they are going out to the country and they should be everywhere soon!

McQueen commercial
Being a big McQueen fan, the new Mustang commercial (field of dreams) with McQueen stepping out from the corn and taking the wheel is awesome. Could the '05 Mustang be a return to REAL muscle cars? I'd like to see a heads up shoot out between the 5.7L hemi Magnum and the 4.6L Mustang. I believe the Mustang would win due to better power to weight ratio and weight distribution, plus the front end of the Magnum could plow snow! UGLY

The Steve McQueen commercial rocks! I know most younger people(the usual market for Mustang) probably has no idea who he is or the nostalgia related to the commercial. I only wish it had been a green GT instead! Now if they offer this model in a green bullit version, WOW! I would like to see a head to head against the new GTO with the 6.0 liter 400 hp LS 2 V8. I'll be getting my silver GT next Spring! Keep it coming Ford! I bet the guys at Chevy are kicking their own *$$ about the Camaro blunder! Ha! Ha!

I saw my first 05 stang on I-80 in Illinois the other day coming home from out east. Sharp looking car and I agree Ford will sell loads of them. I think they hit the styling mark dead on with this one. The one I saw was kind of grey color, almost primer like. I would not personally choose that color as it didn't show the car off well.
