i just installed a set of gauges on my truck(egt, boost, and trans temp), ive been driving it for a while and ive been noticing a noise that sounds like air escaping from somewhere after i get out of the throttle, its slow and a lower pitch, also i hear an abnormally loud rushing air sound when my boost gauge is reading 5-6psi and im at about 1900 rpm's. i have a k&n intake installed along with a diablo tuner, i only run the tuner at the 60 horse setting. i didnt have this noise till i installed the gauges. i doesnt sound like a waste gate noise but im not sure, is this normal? my highest boost numbers that the guage has read is like 25 psi and thats only when im really into the throttle.

 

Did you install that K&N along with the guages?

 

i was running the intake for a couple of days without the guages and i didnt notice the noise

 

It's probably just your turbo winding down. I don't see how the guages would have anything to do with the noise unless your boost guage hose has a leak in it.
