What would you have ford do different!

Heated seats as an option for the FX4.
Front window defroster for the wipers in the winter.
Side steps that come out and down a little further.
One touch down for all powered windows.
Powered passenger seat as an option in the FX4.
HID headlights as an option.
Side Mouldings
My problem when I got my truck was that I wanted the heated seats and powered passenger seat in my FX4, but it was only offered in the Lariat. So if they have it available for the lariat, why not make it available as an option on the FX4??? Makes no sense.

Changes;
1.) Lower the window sills. The F150's sills are (as previously stated) simply way too high. Their styled like the SD, but the SD is comfortable and at the right height. This may not be too important for people who go around with windows closed and AC cranked all the time, but outdoor working guys don't usually use AC going to or coming from work during the summer- the constant hot /cold change would get you sick in a hurry. I smoke. That means I crank the window down and I like my arm resting on the sill comfortably.
2.) Offer a true regular cab. That should help take care of price reduction.
3.) Offer two manual transmissions. The Mazda available with 4.2L and 4.6L (some people want stick but dont like or need granny gear) S5-47 or NV4500 with 4.2L,4.6L,5.4L. Either of these trans can EASILY handle the 5.4L 3 valve power specs. No more excuses for no manual 5.4. With the creepers these trans have either will boost manual tow ratings equal to or even above those for the auto used in the F150.
3.) Offer a diesel option. I think a V-6 diesel would be fine. Hard to imagine a diesel offering without also a manual trans offering. Mazda wont handle it anyway, so all the more reason to offer the NV or ZF with the gassers as well since a stronger trans would be needed for the diesel anyway.
4.) As Mark said, the standard reverse sensing system would make alot of sense - these rear beds are big blind spots.

1. Make the whole rear window drop like the tundra's
2. Need a light in the center console (easy to add but still)
3. Bigger glove box, my explorer had much more room.
4. One touch windows at least on drivers side.
5. I think eveybody would want more power and better gas mileage not because the f-150 is bad but who doesnt want more?
6. Larger bolsters on the seats, my dads 2001 screw has much larger bolsters makes it feel like the seats giving your rear a hug
I think thats it. These are all minor changes but would be nice amenities. As far as HID headlights go i think that would be a bad idea they are too bright in a normal car let alone in a truck thats sitting much higher.

my wish list
1.softer seats (bring back the one's in the 94-95 models, 2.give me a choice of an electric or cable engaged locker 3. since you took the cigerette lighter and ashtray out leave a light so i can find my cup holder at night!!! 4. cb radio for my rail system 5. softer leather steering wheel (again go back to the 94-95 model) 6. a place to hang my trash bag 7. whats the deal w/these so called floormats one of my size 14 has em covered upped. 8. how about a option for serious aux.lighting (can you say kc daylighters?) 9. a device to let me know when the ball is under the hitch? (esp. now that i can't see anything over that 4' tailgate) 10. i have a sc so a rear seat i could sleep on w/o any objects going in my back, not bad but could use some improvement. 11. a mail slot so when i pick the mail up and the doors are full its not sliding across the dash, floor, seat !!!

Luv my XLT...but there are a few things...
-All the advancements on the '04 and they couldn't put a light in the glovebox?
-Better sun visors...I drive into the sun both to and from work every day...bigger visors would be nice. My "99 Explorer has dual visors on each side...pretty nice. Wish F-150s would have this. Lights on the visor mirrors would make my wife happier.
-Definitely bigger tires. I have 255/70-17s which are actually a decent size tire for most vehicles...but looks tiny on the new f-150s
-I once had a '70 F-250 that had a tool box under/in the bottom of the bed on the driver's side...it was a "camper special". Something like this would be a much better place to store tools and the jack. I don't know why they don't do this...it is just wasted space otherwise.
-Dual gas tanks.
-Power folding mirrors (have to fold one of mine each time I put it in the garage).
-Lastly, and I have no idea why more vehicles don't have this since engines are all computer controlled these days...but how hard would it be to have switchable modes for performance without having to buy an aftermarket tuner/programmer. Have a switch with a "Tow", "Performance", and "Economy" setting right on the dash.
Mostly small things...but noticable things I would do differently on a higher priced truck with such great development and engineering.
