I have a bad fuel shutoff switch in my car and don't really need it since I use it strictly for a daily driver. Can I just attach the two wires leading into it to bypass the switch?

 

i have a 88 bronco II and to make a long story short had to disconect mine due to the connector melting--and yes you CAN splice them together. i have since put another one on it (gor from a junk yard for free) for safety reasons. you see, this thing cuts the fuelif you are rear-ended preventing an explosion!!
