2005's

THe Ford website now has the 05's- no major visual changes- Lariat wheels have Arizona paint between spokes- that's it. Also when I bought my Screw- the buyer told me it would be a while before the 05 Screws came out because Ford wanted to be sure and build the the highest margin trucks first because they cost 1K-2K more to build and they knew they would have to give incentives- so now they have to build the cheaper versions first to fill the pipe with the cheaper work trucks.

There werent supposed to by any major changes for the '05. There are some slight color changes, accessories, and some tweaked mechanics, but thats it. As for the 'higher margin' ideal, thats just silly. Ford isnt a mom and pop shop. They have lines running 24/7. The construction is essentially the same for all trim levels of the F150. The reason that you probably havent seen '05s on the market yet, is because inventories are too high on Fords (and everyone elses) part. I believe they have shrunk their IOH back to acceptable levels, and are now getting into the swing of things. Have you seen any of the competitors '05 models on the street yet? They are fighting the same dillema.

My exact truck in the 05 version is 525.00 more. 1/2 of that is adding the adjustable pedals and the garage door opener to the Lariat pkg..
