I would definately by again, however this late in the year I would probably get the 05. I would also add the DVD option.

In a heartbeat. I've had no problems with my 2004 F-150 and it has 1100 miles on it already in 3 weeks. Best vehicle I have ever had.

3600 miles on it in 2 months... can't think of enough reasons to go out just to use it! High gas prices don't even get me down. One thing though, next time I'll get myself a Lariat!

MX2004:

Is there a big reason you would get the Lariat. I am looking, and have found a 04 XLT that looks like yours with captain's chairs. I am also looking at a FX4. I like the Lariat most, but I don't think the tan seats and steering wheel would hold up very well the way I use them.

If you would give me your opinion on your truck vs. Lariat I would appreciate it, for if I buy this year it will most likely be this week.

With over 7k now I'd buy again without hesitation. And in the same configuration with the same options (XLT Screw 4x4 captains' chairs DVD tow package). The only thing I'd change is getting the dark flint instead of the two-tone med/dark flint. It's too light for me (read 'shows too much dirt'). I'm sure seat covers are in my future.

I can't tell yet. I've had mine since Friday (3 days) it has 821 miles on it (took a weekend trip. Mine is an FX4 blue with black captains chairs. Only thing I'd change is probably outside color to silver.

Definitely would! I have a white '04 Lariat Screw with almost 10K miles on it since I purchased it the end of May. Commuting, hauling, towing my travel trailer to Y'stone--it's been great. I especially like the Audiophile stereo, power sliding rear window, and the sharp looking interior.

Well honestly, I would get a Lariat just "to go all out". I really love my XLT and have no complaints. I have a 4.6, and would like to get the 5.4 (which is available in the XLT). I think the difference in the XLT vs the Lariat is the leather seats, but too hot here in south Texas, the instrument cluster is nicer looking, center shifter, but I'd still get column, power adjustable pedals, manual or power rear window, fog lamps, etc. (some of these things are also avaible in other trims including xlt) All stuff that would be "cool" to have but I really don't need right now and didn't want to dish out for. So to answer your question, is there a real BIG reason? Not really (to me, at least)... I'm happy and will continue to be happy with my XLT with no regrets. Hope this helps.

Yes, would buy again. First time I've bought a vehicle in 15 years WITHOUT a little bit of buyer's remorse.
