Disc-Brake Conversion for 1975 F-250

I assume you have a dana 44 up front. I have not seen a conversion kit for a dana 44. However, most guys swap out the dana 44 for the dana 60 with the disc brakes from the 78-79 series trucks. You could also find a dana 44 from the later year trucks as well but I think I would wait for the dana 60.

Ford F-250 4x4's went to disc brakes in '77. Both Dana 44 & 60. The '78 - '79 Dana 60's are a little more difficult to find and much more money to overhaul. F-350 4x4's had Dana 60's from '84 (I think) and on. Dana 44's with Discs are more plentiful than the 60's. Dana 60 is an overkill unless you are looking to lift your truck and put big tires on it or haul a heavy load or big camper etc. Good Luck!

i did a conversion to a dana 60 front instead of a 44. your gonna be looking at 1000 on a good day for this axle complete. i went with the 60 cuz i plan on running 40s on my truck eventually. you could just as easily put a 8lug d44 under there for probably a fraction of the cost. ford went to discs as an option on the 44 in 76 because thats what my disc brake master cylinder is from. i would say if you do it yourself your looking at spending 500$ depending on what you pay for a complete d44 if you do the minimum. if you start replacing lines your gonna slowly build on that.
