It's turning out real neat. And you sure make better time than us old guys. You're losing me with all those projects of yours. What all did you do to this truck? Is the truck with the rust flames on the hood your original project you started a few years back? Give us an update on where all these projects are going.

GREAT looking truck (I'm partial to the 51 nose) and I love the way the 302 nestles in the engine bay. Much progress has been made and I'm jealous. I just seem to be able to get mine more and more torn apart - keep finding things that have to be done! Keep up the progress and let us know when you post more pictures - pictures are good!

Thanks Guys! I'm trying to get my 2nd Mercury M-3 (which is actually my third truck) running so I can drive it around while I finish my 1st '51 Mercury M-3 (which is actually my second truck). I'm gonna get the 1st Merc to the point of driveable and then drop in the engine and tranny out of the 2nd Merc. Like the AM Radio that I stole out of our old '76 Allis Chambers Gleaner L combine? The 2nd Mercury has only had it painted, engine and tranny swap and some brake work done to it. The 1st Mercury has been stripped to the frame, painted, F-1 springs put on with a '51 Dana 44 but I've gotten recently a '69 Ford 9" 3.73. I plan on putting disc brakes. My plan for the finished truck is it to look original (wheels don't count) but to have a modern drivetrain. The interior is going to be completly stock (except guages and stereo) down to a correct two tone bench seat. Fenders I must credit your memory since you seem to remember alot about me and my truck.

We're all family around here. Your Uncle Penn Dick probably remembers changing your diapers. I know I always tried to get out of that every chance I got. I do hope we aren't embarrassing you Nathan.
Besides, how could I forget your old hood? For 6 months I was one of the dummies that thought you had a brown flame job. Amazing how it rusted that way. Kinda like crop circles. Had to be aliens or something.

We sold the combine to a guy that was gonna use it for parts so he didn't need a radio. I think that suspension would be harder than an I-beam. I wonder if a power steering pump would have enough pressure to move a small hydralic ram? You would need a column out of a '80s Versatile 4WD. Those things have turn signals, wiper and washer, tilt, horn, are extendable and have a key. You have a small ram do the job of the drag link.
