Question Lighted Visor Mirrors?

Curious if you can install a visor with a lighted mirror in a pickup with non-lighted visor mirrors? Is the electric connection in place to accomodate this upgrade?

Thanks in advance.

Interesting request. I can't say I know for sure, but you could always turn on the dome light in the overhead console when you need to look in the mirror. May not be as bright but probably a lot easier than trying to swap out the mirrors.

Shouldn't this post say, "My wife keeps asking why she can't see herself at night!! How do I install visor lights??"

Yeah... that's much more accurate. Would be cool if this is just something that will bolt on with the electric plug in there already.

Well crap... called the dealer and they said that there are harnesses that need to be installed along with the lighted visors... it can be done - just more work to install them.

I'm not married so I don't know how much whining you're listening too. But one of my ex's complained about that alot in one of my cars so I went to Walmart and bought a battery operated lighted mirror that clipped on over the visor. That isn't the greatest looking setup but it shut her up. Just an option.

Seems like you could get a battery operated one and take the visore to a upholstry shop and they would install the mirror onto the visor and make it look purty. Just a thought.

I have the lighted ones in my Lariat. The funny thing is, when my wife is putting on her makeup, she'll use the lighted mirror, the interior lights have to be on, and I sometimes have to break out the Maglight, just to make sure that everything is "in place and pretty". I also thought about those flexible lights that plug into the accessory outlet on the dash. Man, that would really tick her off. Anyone notice how its on the passenger/ wife side of the truck? Ha Ha

Someone at Ford was thinking on that one.

That's the primary concern though - my better half having some light to do her woman stuff...
