well found truck i like, looked on the door and it was made august 4, 2004. so my question is: avoid vehicles made at end of year cycle (plant closes for two weeks, workers are in mood to do great work or even poor work). is the left- over poor quality supplies and parts put on the trucks at end of year??? on postive side, maybe by august the minor problems (vibration, squeaks, a/c, nibbles, or whatever) are ironed out by now????!!!???? any assembly-line workers ever read this forum??? guess i better check to see if ford has already deleted the sound insulation since its so close to 2005 production etc....any thoughts appreciated..........

 

I really don't think manufacture's leave the "poor quality supplies" for last. If it's "poor quality" I would think they would just not use them. I think it's better if your truck is built later on that year, like a new revision. Mine was built in late July and I have absolutely no problems what so ever. No vibs or any problem posted here. Just my $.02
