How do I find what out engine size I have. V6-->160 or 205
Also I just had a check engine light turn on about 3 day ago. Currently the truck runs great and has 41599 miles on it. Dont want to take it to the dealer and get taken to the clearners.

LAST EDITED ON 29-May-01 AT 03:20 PM (EST)[p]Try this...open the hood and look at the top (plastic part) of the engine. Does it say 4.0 SOHC or EFI 4.0? If it says "4.0 SOHC," then you have the one that makes 205 hp. If you see "EFI 4.0," then you have the OHV 4.0, which makes 160 hp. If you have the check engine light on, take it to the dealer and scan for the code. The reason why that light went off is because there's something wrong with your emission system. Hope this helps.
