Removing Exhaust System

I have a '98 F-150, 2x4, and I am trying to remove the exhaust system after the cat. I have taken off the U bracket on the joint, but I still cannot seem to slip it off. Anybody have any suggestions, I really don't want to have to do any hacksawing as I would like to be able to put it back together.

Have you tried some WD-40? If anything I would just take a blunt object...say a big wrench or rubber mallet and peck at it while pulling. I've never done it, but I'm sure you normally have to work it out quite a bit.

Keep in mind that the muffler clamp has made an indentation into the pipe you are trying to remove from the outer pipe. That indentation will have to travel the diameter of the outer pipe, that is still round, thus meaning you gonna need a big ole hammer to help it out,or cut it before where the clamp was.Good luck!

Hook another truck up to it with a towing cable. Then just put it in drive!
