I have a '91 explorer 4dr eddie bauer with a 4.0 v6 engine and auto trans. Could i take an engine from a 99 explorer , a 4.0 SOHC v6 engine and put it into my current explorer? If so, what things do i need to change or make sure i do? Thanks for the advice!

 

no can do,electronics from 99 wont work in yours,you may be able to adapt your elec to motor only and use your existing comp and harness,not sure about trans fitting but 99 trans needs 99 comp to work,bolting a v8 might be just as much work.maybe less?
