Carburator

Have a 53 F100 with 239 Falthead. The carb is a Holley 94, anyone know the model? Is it 8BA? Also where can I get one? Rebuilt mine, but believe it to still be a problem area.

The best guys I've talked to that know all the nuances of the Holley 94 are over on the msn groups '32-53 flathead board. I'm not 100% sure what was on the 53 flathead. Some aren't even marked and there were dozens of aftermarket varieties.

All the 94's were basically the same until the mid-50's when they started to use automatic chokes. Even then, it's the same carb. That version was the ECG6 I believe. ECG5 was still manual choke. Most changes involved size of the venturi's.

You might watch ebay just for the education on variations of the model 94.

If you just used a simple rebuild kit and didn't completely disassemble it and didn't take pains to clean the idle circuits you likely still have problems.
