245 troubles
Yes i have a 1995 Ford Ranger 245 V6 and a 5speen manual. my problem is that lately it has a rough idle and the other day I was idling for a while, about twenty minutes and turned her off. Then a few minutes later I fired her back up and she was running horrible. More gas and she just stumbled, not like a total miss but fuel problems maybe. well being the person i am i just floored it a few times and let it idle down and she was ok but running VERY rich. Here lately you could smell gas a little while idling with windows down and even with winders up at stop lights. Also, i guess it is the vent line for the gas tank, a rubber line which runs with the fuel line, it has a plaster splice righe behind the fuel filter "different line though" well right where this splice is there have been fuel vapors comeing out which i think is where the smell comes from. I can get under there and there are a few droplets formed around the splice, i unhooked the hose and she ran a little better. I mean actually she runs really nice and hard but likes the gas and idles rough, like cammed up. Always ran like a scalded dog but never smelled like this. I have a KN air filter and i just put in new plugs but other than that nothing really done to the motor. I put it on a Snap obd scanner and didnt' come up with anything except over reved. now a while ago when at idle she was making a loud whaling sound which was coming from the Idle Air Control Valve. So i took it off and sprayed real good with carb cleaner and it stopped but still it has to do with fuel and idle so i told yall. well anyways any yall make any sense of it. I checked for vacuum lines being disconnected and all were peachy.
