Trails in Southern ME/NH

Trails in Southern ME/NH
I am sad today. I took the old 93 F-150 down the street to some local trails here in Berwick ME only to find that they have been closed off. What was an off-roading paradise is now full of heavy equipment and being turned into developments full of big new houses that, presumably, no one (I know) will be able to afford. :-(
Anyone know of any good places in Southern Maine and NH that I can go to without trespassing?
Seems like so many trails are getting "shut down" these days.

the Sanford Pit is off New Dam Rd up RT 4 across RT 109 to New dam Rd take a right and the pits are about 1/2 mile on your right.
Abbott Mt. go through Sanford on 109 right on RT 11 right on Owls nest Rd to end then right on what looks like a dirt driveway just follow it back then take a right in the split then right up the rocks to the top of the mountain.
Hope that helps
