Wheres the best place to buy a heavy duty auto tranny for a 2001 F450 PSD. Im located in CT if anyone knows a good tranny shop around. The truck is a 01 F450 crew cab 4X4 with a utility body on it , the truck weighs in at around 15000. lbs all the time. i put the first trans in at 60k now at 120k it needs another, i just dont want to put a stock one in again and have the same problem. thanks in advance for the help.

Brians truck shop is the best place. After having one in my pickup for about 5 months, I put one in my brand new dump truck that only had 11,000 miles on it. It was the best thing I could have done. If you can make the trip to his shop, he installs the transmission at no charge, but you can have one shipped and any trans place can do the R&R on it. Make sure you call him early in the morning, about 8am central time, if you dont get him leave a message. Like stated before he is a one man show, his son does help him and his wife answers the phone sometimes. Good luck, you wont look back on a BTS.
