A/C Again!!!

Ok, the pressure on the low side is about 50-55psi. It is still cycling on and off.

When I jump it, of course it blows ice cold. There is plenty of "juice" in the system.

Could this be a bad pressure switch? Maybe the WOT?

What do you guys think?

I think your on the right track.Have auto zone read the codes, they will usually tell if you have a bad pressure sensor, clutch switch, temp sensor.etc.

What are the pressures (low and high) with the switch bypassed, as well as the outdoor temp? When reading pressures, it's also best to rev the engine to about 1200- 1400 rpm. Also, have you done anything to the charge? If so, I'm thinking you may have it overcharged. Todays systems use a critical charge; too much can cause probs. Also, is there any chance there is air in the system?

An erratic/wandering high side reading indicates air in the system. Sometimes, there will be a sudden rise in high side pressure, it will stay there for a brief time, then drop back off. It's time to take a reading. When charging, don't forget to purge the air from the line leading from the bottle of freon to the system.
