Question Getting more off the line?

Hey everyone I have a 97 Ranger with a 2.3l and the 3.73 rear end i was wondering if just increasing the horsepower will be sufficient or should i go with a new rear end such as the 4.10 please help!! trying to find a way to make the truck faster to keep up with my friends imports.

Welcome to FTE!
A 410 rear will launch you better. Lower profile tires on the rear will also give you better launch. Both the 410 rear & lower profile tires will really make a difference, but hi-way performance will suffer.
If you go with both 410 rear & tires, you could keep a tall pair of tires for when you have to go on a hi-way run.
