This is from James Duff web site: jamesduff.com

We realize that our customers have different wants, needs and budgets. With this in mind, we have developed our Suspension System in Stages--For those wanting a basic system to those looking for a higher degree of suspension performance. Each stage can be transformed into the next by adding the additional components without purchasing a completely new system each time. This way, if your wants exceed your means for now, a basic system can be purchased and upgraded later. Some items are better purchased together, like radius arms and front shock hoops but for the most part, items can be added as you choose. Please read the individual information on the upgraded components to get a better idea of the performance each stage will give.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Stage 1-Base System
The progressive rate coils and matched 70/30 shocks provide a higher quality ride, improved handling, and between 2.5-3" lift (depending on vehicle), giving clearance for larger tires.
·Progressive Rate coil springs
·Shocks with blue boots (2 front, 2 rear)
·Axle pivot drop brackets
·Radius arm drop brackets
·Radius arm bushings
·Add-a-leafs (or 1" block on Ranger SuperCab)
·Rear axle U-bolts
·Polyurethane coil pads, leveling spacer
·Lift Shackles (Explorer only)

if you are just looking for 3" why not trim the fenders? or shackle flip the rear or make longer shackles and then for the front get daystars 3" coil spring spacers all this will cost a lot less!

What do you plan on doing with it? Why does it HAVE to be a suspension lift?

Like fishmanndotcom said above, between shackles and spacers you can get 3" of lift for probably $100 or so.

What size tires are you planning on running? If you are lookig to fit 31s, I think a 2" body lift on 15x8 rims will do as long as you jack up the rear a bit with some more leafs since the BII tends to sit a bit in the rear.

as of today there were two suspension kits on ebay for under $400. If you want to go cheap..go with a 3 inch body lift..which i think that's what you are refereing to..they can be purchanged for under $125. Rocky mountain suspensions is very reasonable. www.rockymountainsusp.com
