Anybody know of a reproduction gas tank(in cab) for a 1950 f-1

 

I think Bob Drake carrys them. Your trying to keep it a original truck. I have a 50 F-5 and a 52 Mercury M-3 truck. But I move the tanks on both in the frame. Much safer,they hold a lot more fuel for trips and more room in the cab. If Bob does not he sure can tell you who does. If you go on truck tours with others,like I do. You sure feel funny running out of gas or asking them to make a special stop for fuel.

How bad is your old one? Most radiator shops can clean and seal a rusted tank or you can purchase the stuff to do it yourself. I don't think I have seen these tanks in reproduction anywhere. You see them on Ebay occasionally...

If you can patch yours until October, my '51 is coming off the frame and you can get mine. Last year I had it cleaned and teflon coated. Sending unit works.
