That's a good question. I know I've taken them out, but can't remember what I had to do to get them out. I know the Power Strokes have to be cut in half with a plasma cutter or a Sawsall to come out.

There is a bracket that bolts to my tranny that holds it in place.
Once it is out I just wiggle mine back and forth while pulling on it.
But mine is a 3" ATS system.

Unhook everything that seems to be holding it together and WIGGLE, PULL, WIGGLE, PULL and sometimes use "them" words. It should be just an interferrence fit into the turbo housing.

Is this a factory turbo IDI with the heatshielded pancake pipe? If so, it will have a clamp on the turbo outlet and a bolt in the bellhousing to hold it up (I think).
