Ford Quality Renewal sticker on valve cover?

Hello All,

I just bought a 97 F-150, and I was looking it over pretty closely last night, and discovered a sticker on the valve cover that said "Ford Quality Renewal." Does anyone know what this means? Could it mean the gaskets were replaced by Ford? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I'm not real sure what that means, but if it does mean that... I'd say you're in good shape. Having the gaskets replaced on that truck is the best thing for it. Call the dealer...they should know if we don't tell ya first.

I just left the delership for a new belt and the service tech. told me I had a rebuilt motor, i ask how he knew and he pointed to the Quality renewal sticker I had never noticed. so if they were right i would say you have a rebuilt motor.

Thanks Buddy. Thats is great news. I sure hope they were right. This would probably mean the gaskets have already been replaced.
