IAT Sensor

Hello Guys,
I have a 96 5.8.Just pulled a code P0113 Intake air temp sensor. I checked with the manual which says the sensor screws into the upper manifold [plenum], but I couldn't find it on there anywhere. I'm pretty sure I've found it on the air intake hose close to the maf sensor.
I'm a little lost as to how I would go about removing it from the heavy duty rubber intake hose. Is it sold as a single piece including the hose? Or is it sold as just the sensor, and I have to get the sensor out of the hose, and install a new one??
Appreciate any help I can get.

IAT Sensor

Hi Bob,

Looks like you were right on in regards to the sensor. I really appreciate the trouble you took.

I have it parked in the driveway with a laundry list to do on it. Might as well get it done while the weather holds.

Thanks again,
Leo

No trouble at all Leo, I'm glad it worked out for you!!

After replacing your IAT, disconnect the negative battery terminal, and turn the headlight switch on for 10-15 minutes, this will clear the code, and reset your PCM.
