lightning seats- are they defective?
I have searched this forum to see if anyone else has brought up this topic; if you all have, and this is old and beat up, sorry, just point me in the right direction.
I have a 1999 Lightning. On the driver's seat, there is a small metal bar, I guess part of the seat's frame, on the side of the seat facing the door. I would feel them once and awhile and at first I thought it was just that I hopped up on the seat and sat down too hard. But now, it has rubbed through the seat leather. I am wondering if any other owners out there are having this problem, if Ford knows about it or if it is just particular to my truck.
Thanks!
Beth

I have a couple of other friends that own Lightning’s that have had a similar problem with the seats wearing out quickly. If you were still under warranty, Ford would fix it. I have a bar under my seat that I can feel through the pad every now and then, and I'm going to get Ford to replace it before the warranty runs out.
